2020 Formula 1 Season Review
2020 was definitely a year. Thank you to all of those who joined us for the journey! But before we set our sights on 2021, it's worth taking a look back at the year that was.
To be honest, we are happy that we managed to get a full-ish race calendar and even happier that it meant the inclusion of tracks like Mugello and Portimao.
The driver market, which really kicked off the 2020 season before we had any racing, was the first moments of excitement for fans around the globe. The news of Seb Vettel moving on from Ferrari prompted media outlets to speculate that it would be the best move for Daniel Ricciardo, although we didn't - luckily for us, McLaren was the right move for him as we explained earlier this year (podcast below).
With new tracks added to the 2021 calendar, we weren't really sure what to expect. But man, Mugello didn't disappoint. George Russell's mega qualifying session was to set the tone of things to come too!
What about the biggest heart stopping moments of 2020? You can't forget the Safety Car restart over the line at Mugello and the chaos that ensued, or Romain Grosjean's huge accident that had the whole world talking.
2021 is set to be huge for Danny Ric and for AUSF1. More content, more ridiculousness and more F1 banter - we're here for it!
